Future ICT technologies, such as the concepts of Ambient Intelligence, Cyber-physical Systems, and Internet of Things provide a vision of the Information Society in which: a) people and physical systems are surrounded with intelligent interactive interfaces and objects, and b) environments are capable of recognizing and reacting to the presence of different individuals or events in a seamless, unobtrusive, and invisible manner. The success of future ICT technologies will depend on how secure these systems are and to what extent they protect the privacy of individuals and individuals trust them.

The Workshop in Information Security Theory and Practice (WISTP) was established in 2007 as a platform to unite researchers and practitioners in various fields and foster collaboration and exchange between the research and industrial/consumer communities. Recognizing the increasing enthusiasm and participation, WISTP evolved into a conference starting from 2015, expanding its reach and influence in promoting information security theory and practice.

The 14th WISTP International Conference on Information Security Theory and Practice (WISTP’2024) is actively soliciting original submissions from academia and industry. The conference welcomes original research papers encompassing a wide range of theoretical and practical dimensions of security and privacy. In addition, the conference encourages submissions that include experimental studies of fielded systems, explore the application of security technology, highlight successful system implementations, and share valuable lessons learned. Moreover, the organizers invite submissions from other communities, including law, business, and policy, which provide unique perspectives on technological issues. WISTP’2024 aims to facilitate a comprehensive and diverse discussion on information security theory and practice.
